Travellers’ Tales Festival is a unique weekend festival offering an exhilarating mix of lectures by world-famous names, exhibitions of mouthwatering travel photography, and talks on fascinating regions of the world. There are travel films to view, talks by the season’s hottest travel writers and photographers, and book signings with top authors.
And if you want to improve your own travel photos or stories, or make a career in this sector, there are ‘how-to-do-it’ workshops, panel debates on creative issues, and industry seminars on the digital future.
You’ll be able to browse and buy from top companies in photography, publishing, travel and more, in our dedicated exhibition area, and try out their latest products.
The setting for the festival is the distinguished headquarters of the Royal Geographical Society – the historic home of British exploration. Redolent of the heroic age of Livingstone, Scott and Shackleton, this beautiful Edwardian mansion is not normally open to the public. For us they will be displaying rarely-seen items from famous travellers’ journeys.
